  • To join our virtual call center, you will need your own computer, a reliable internet connection, and a USB headset. Ensure that your equipment meets the technical requirements provided during the onboarding process.

  • Agents are required to have their own high-speed, stable internet connection. A reliable Wi-Fi network is crucial for maintaining a seamless connection during client interactions.

  • Agents, as 1099 workers, are independent contractors and act as their own bosses, meaning they are responsible for their own expenses, including the cost of their background check. Please note that a successful background check is a prerequisite for becoming a Certified Customer Support Professional and gaining access to our client opportunities. Background checks are valid for 3 years if passed. Should an agent fail their background check, they will need to cover the cost for a re-run of the test.

  • The criminal history check for Paramount Staffing includes the county, state, and/or federal level. Based on our criteria for independent contractor Agents, you may not qualify if your check reveals any of the following:

    Felony records: Dispositions of guilty, convicted, no contest/nolo contendere, adjudication withheld/deferred adjudication/probation before judgment (if currently under probation), pending, or outstanding warrant.

    Misdemeanor records: Seven or more vehicular records, five or more total misdemeanors; although each person’s background check is handled individually, on a case by case basis.

    Any records involving theft, fraud, dishonesty, breach of trust, arson, or violent crimes with dispositions of guilty, convicted, no contest/nolo contendere, adjudication withheld/deferred adjudication/probation before judgment (if currently under probation), pending, or outstanding warrant.

    Paramount Staffing contracts with agents in many different states, counties, and jurisdictions. Background Checks are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, equal opportunity laws, & regulations within these states, counties, and jurisdictions and may include reporting at the local, state, and national government level, from regulatory and administrative bodies, or as a result of compliance checks in accordance with federal government minimum requirements.

  • Agents working with Paramount Staffing operate as independent contractors, not employees. This status provides flexibility in managing your work hours and location. As an independent contractor, you'll be responsible for your taxes, and you won't receive a W-2 form. You will, however, get a 1099 form for tax filing purposes.
